What Are Organic Vegetables Made Of?
If you’re interested in learning about the organic lifestyle and the eating habits that go along with it, here is some helpful information to assisting you in gaining some understanding in these areas. For example, if you’ve ever wondered what organic vegetables are made of, they are made of the same thing that the non-organic varieties contain. The difference is in the farming methods.

Organic vegetables are farmed without the use of synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers which destroy the vegetable’s ability to produce cancer-fighting antioxidants. Organic vegetable farmers have to follow very strict hygiene and safety guidelines in order to comply with Federal, State and local health standards. In addition to following strict Government guidelines, certified organic farmers are inspected by a third-party to make sure that they are in compliance which will enable them to qualify for organic certification.

Organic vegetables are high in flavonoids which protect our cells from damage. This plant chemical is thought to be helpful in preventing cancer and combating age-related neurological problems like Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. Flavonoids also protect the plant itself from insects, bacteria and fungus.

In studies between organic and non-organic fruit and vegetables such as corn and berries, the organic variety was found to have substantially higher levels of nutrients than the non-organic types. The minerals in organic vegetables are shown to have the potential to kill cancer cells or prevent them from spreading.

What are organic vegetables made of? Not only are organically grown vegetables better for your body, but there is evidence that the farming methods use to grow organic vegetables are much safer for the environment than conventional farming methods. This is because the organic farming methods utilize only chemical-free fertilizers and pesticides which can be released into our atmosphere and break it down. Organic vegetables are also said to taste better.
